9 Foods for Children’s Intelligence

Here are 9 foods for children’s intelligence, namely:

1. Salmon

Fatty fish such as salmon are the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, both of which are important in the growth and development of your child’s brain function. Research shows that children who get omega 3 fatty acids are more able to think sharply. According to experts, although tuna contains omega-3 fatty acids, salmon contains more omega 3 than tuna.

2. Eggs

Eggs are an important source of protein which is known to be relatively cheap and quite affordable. Egg yolks have been shown to contain choline, a substance that can aid memory development. You can provide various types of processed eggs to increase your child’s appetite.

3. Peanut butter

Peanuts and peanut butter are sources of vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that can protect nerve cell membranes. The content of thiamin and vitamin E helps the brain and nervous system use glucose to form the energy the body needs

4. Whole grain

The brain requires a constant supply of glucose from the body so that wheat can support your body’s needs with fiber content produced from its seeds. The fiber found in whole grains helps regulate the release of glucose in the body. The content of B vitamins found in wheat will keep the nervous system functioning healthy.

5. Oats / Oatmeal

Oats are one of the most popular cereals among children and are rich in essential nutrients for the brain. Oats are able to provide energy for the brain that is needed by children, oatmeal is very appropriate when consumed in the morning. The fiber content in oats or oatmeal can maintain the health and intelligence of your child. Oats are also a source of vitamin E, vitamin B, zinc and potassium which make the body and brain function optimally.

6. Types of Fruit

In general, the strong colors contained in cherries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries contain adequate nutrition for children’s intelligence. The Berries fruit group contains high levels of antioxidants, especially the content of vitamin C which can fight cancer-causing free radicals. Several studies have shown that the ingredients of strawberry and blueberry extracts can improve memory function. In addition, the seeds of berries are rich in omega-3 fatty acids which are needed for brain health, especially intelligence.

7. Nuts

Nuts are a special snack because foods from nuts have energy derived from protein and complex carbohydrates. In addition, nuts contain fiber, vitamins and minerals. Nuts are good food for your child’s brain because they can maintain energy and also the ability to think. According to research results, kidney beans contain more omega-3 fatty acids than other types of beans, especially ALA – a type of omega-3 fatty acid that is important for brain growth and function.

8. Colored vegetables

Tomatoes, red sweet potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, spinach are vegetables that are rich in nutrients and antioxidants that will make brain cells healthy. Consuming a variety of vegetables is very important for health even though in fact children don’t like vegetables, for that you can make processed snacks from vegetable-based ingredients.

9. Milk and Yogurt

Foods derived from dairy products contain high protein and B vitamins. The content of protein and B vitamins are important nutrients in the growth of brain tissue and enzymes. Consuming milk, milk or yogurt can also make the stomach survive from hunger because of the protein and carbohydrates content and become a source of energy for your child’s brain. Research has found that children and adolescents need more vitamin D, even 10 times the recommended dosage. Vitamin D is a vitamin which is also essential for the muscle and nervous system of the life cycle of human cells as a whole.
