Handayani February 11, 2021

Before running fasting, we are encouraged to perform sahur first.

Sahur is filled with eating and drinking activities, which is done early in the morning before dawn. Usually, many people are lazy when they want to perform sahur on the grounds that they are still sleepy or have no appetite to eat. In fact, because they still feel sleepy, many people do bad habits after Suhoor. Where is the habit that is often done, namely returning to sleep after eating Suhoor.

Based on medical science, the habit of sleeping after Suhoor is not justified and should not be done because it will have bad effects on health. Why is that? After eating, the digestive system requires a time lag to absorb the nutrients contained in food, besides that the food consumed also needs to be digested properly. Before the food is digested properly, but you have slept, the digestive system will not be able to work optimally, especially if you eat foods that are difficult to digest such as meat or fried foods.

So what are the dangers or bad effects of sleeping after sahur? Here is the explanation.
