This condition can be caused by several things, including due to viral infections, batteries, ear infections, inflammation of the tonsils or also due to serious illnesses suffered by children such as meningitis, respiratory infections and malaria that afflicts children.
- In children who have experienced head trauma, which causes the body temperature regulation to experience “error”. This is the risk of organ damage for your child. The condition of the body temperature becomes higher than normal.
- Hyperpiration. A fever that is too high can cause problems for your child. One of them is when experiencing hyperpiration, which is a condition where your child’s body temperature is greater than 41 degrees Celsius.
Fever that is dangerous in children does not all require laboratory examination. Fever is not always dangerous, it’s just a sign to fight microorganisms that enter the body. Blood tests can be done on the third day, as an effort to prevent several diseases that may occur in children. However, health checks do not have to be marked by fever, laboratory tests can be performed if the child has symptoms and infections that lead to a disease.
In providing help to a child with a fever, you should compress it so that his body temperature decreases, also give lots of fluids so that his body does not become dehydrated, do not wear clothes that are too thick so that it disturbs your child’s condition.
