educating children to be pious and pious

It’s just that these two things are not obtained in an instant way nor are they a genetic inheritance from both parents. It takes a long struggle and hard work in providing good education to children so that faith grows in them and makes good faith and morals arise from within the child.

For this reason, some of the points below will be able to help mothers and parents at home educate and nurture your children to grow into someone who has good faith and morals so that they can become pious and pious children as you expect.

1. Set a Good Example

Often we have high hopes for children so that they can grow up to be what their parents want. This desire is certainly a hope that their children can become someone with good character, noble character and so on. It’s just that this expectation must be in proportion to what is and happens in real life. When you want pious children, it would be better if we set a good example for them. Don’t keep dictating children to be what you want, if we ourselves can’t be a good role model for them.

The tendency of a child to be imitators, they will imitate and adapt to all the things that happen and they see in their environment. By giving good examples, it is hoped that the children will be able to imitate them and apply good deeds in their daily lives. In addition, by being good role models for children, there is no reason for them to refuse orders or advice from their parents.

2. Create an Islamic atmosphere through education and association

One of the other factors that support the formation of a pious and pious soul and personality in children is by bringing and creating Islamic nuances through education and associations. Children of course will not know what a creed is and how to be a pious child if Islamic education is not introduced from an early age.

For that, create an Islamic atmosphere and nuances in the world of education and children’s environment. In addition, this will also be able to build children’s character for the better. For this method, suppose that other mothers and parents can enroll their children in Islamic schools or Islamic boarding schools. If children often hang out in an Islamic environment, God willing, their every word and deed will be more polite. But of course this needs to be applied and instilled from an early age.

3. Make a habit of waking children at dawn

A person who wakes up at dawn is often identified with pious people who are devout in religion, even when many adults find it difficult to get up at this time to perform the dawn prayer. For this reason, there is nothing wrong with getting your children to wake up at dawn and immediately perform the morning prayers. This of course needs to be developed and accustomed to when children are still at an early age so that later this habit is carried over until they grow up.

There will be many obstacles that mothers may face when implementing the habit of getting up at dawn on children, one of the factors is not having the heart to wake those who are still asleep or even the child is fussy because he is still sleepy. But believe me, if you get used to it slowly but surely this will feel easier.

4. Teach your little one to always carry prayer equipment

The 5 daily prayers are obligatory worship that must be performed by every Muslim in the world, which of course if one of the times is missed it will be a sin for those who do it Now, to instill religious obedience in children so that they grow up to be pious and pious is to remind them not to spend prayer time wherever they are. One form of reminding children not to miss prayer times is to prepare prayer utensils and remind them to always carry them even when they are traveling.

5. Invite Children to Islamic Tour

Nowadays, even though they are still very young, parents prefer to take their children to the mall and introduce various new things to their children. But without realizing it, Islamic tourism is often ignored because of the tempting pleasures of the world. For that, start changing all the less useful habits, instead of taking them too often on trips to malls or visiting expensive tourist attractions, it is better if mothers take their children on Islamic tours such as taking a safari to mosques. Apart from introducing them to something new, this will further increase their love for religion and their devotion to God.

6. Introduce the limits of genitalia in children since they were small

In general, today many children choose to wear new clothing styles that are in accordance with the times without paying attention to the Shari’a and dress code in Islam, namely by covering their genitals, so it is not surprising that nowadays we find many children dressed in tight, short and even translucent clothes. . This is certainly not good for our children who are the nation’s future candidates. For this reason, teach children the limitations of their genitals when they are dressed.

Those are some important points that really need to be taught to children to develop good faith and morals so that children become pious and pious.
