In some cases, it is often found that there are children who are not very good at speaking compared to their age, but there are also children who do not respond at all when spoken to, other cases show that the child does not speak but understands what other people are talking about. Well, if this is the case, the parents will definitely feel restless and want their children to speak one or more words just so that the parents can make sure that their child can speak.
Here are some simple ways to stimulate your child to want to talk.
1. Talk to the Children a Lot
To stimulate children to want to talk, it must start with you. For that, say every single thing to the child, anything from waking up in the morning when your little one opens his eyes, then when he is younger he takes a shower. Or on other occasions when you and your little one watch TV, tell and give an idea of what you and your little one are watching. If possible, fill your time throughout the day with your little one by talking about whatever things you are going through with your little one. That way they will gradually start to follow and respond to every conversation you make.
2. Give the child the opportunity to respond
Not only telling and creating conversations about anything to your little one. But you also have to give your little one the opportunity to respond to what you say. Give him the opportunity to say what he has to say. If your little one is willing to put in the effort, you will see his effort to be able to say something even in the form of babbling. But always remember to give this stimulation repeatedly in order.
3. Sing
Naturally, babies generally love music and beautiful melodies. Now, to stimulate children to speak, you can use singing methods to introduce various variations of voices to children. This method is very simple and of course it will be very fun, you can sing every morning or when you bathe your little one. Whether you realize it or not, the songs you sing will begin to be recorded by your little ones and gradually they will start imitating to make a sound.
4. Repetition
The more often and the more the little one hears the many words that are being repeated, the more likely the child is to imitate. So so, often repeat the words that you say. Thus the children will start to absorb the words you say and begin to imitate those words.
5. Give Children Praise
When the child succeeds in pronouncing a vocabulary word from his mouth. Even though it’s just a simple vocabulary like saying ‘ba’, then give it a compliment, so the child will feel appreciated and want to try to bring out other vocabulary.
Those are some simple ways to stimulate children to talk. The method above is expected to help parents to be able to talk.
