This color change is known as hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation occurs due to increased levels of the Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone (MSH) hormone. Color changes like this are actually something that is natural to happen, it’s just that the impact will be able to make mothers less confident. Because the skin changes its color, aesthetic damage will occur when seen by others. In addition, the appearance of this hyperpigmentation can occur with Melasma / chloasma, which is a term for the mask of pregnancy where the blackened part covers the lower part of the eye and nose circles so that it looks like a mask. Of course this kind of thing will be very disturbing for pregnant women as a woman who always wants to look beautiful. But not to worry, generally this brownish color will disappear by itself 3 to 6 months after birth.

1. Avoid Direct Sun Exposure

2. Consume enough water to keep skin moist
When the body lacks fluids, what will happen to the skin is dry skin, dry skin is easily affected by various problems including hyperpigmentation in pregnant women. To fix this, make sure that the mother always has enough fluids in the body at least 8 glasses per day which can be consumed during intermittent times.
3. Don’t Excessive Rubbing The Skin
Sometimes many women think that brown spots on the skin that appear are the result of not being clean enough to protect themselves. As a result they will make every effort to remove the stain including scrubbing it. However, you should not rub too much in this case because rubbing vigorously will irritate the skin.
4. Use a gentle and safe moisturizing cream
To avoid hyperpigmentation in certain areas such as the face, prepare a cleansing cream or facial treatment that is smooth and of course safe to use.
Finding brownish color on the body is a little annoying, but generally it will disappear by itself after the birth process has passed. To disguise it you can use safe cosmetics. But do not ever think about using bleach to get rid of it occasionally because this will be dangerous for you and the baby you are carrying.
