Even so, sometimes most parents do not realize the hidden potentials of their children, even though their children have high creativity and a very broad imagination. The average parent views that the child’s exact abilities and school values ​​are absolute points that determine that the child is intelligent and creative, even though being smart and creative does not have to be like that.

It is the old-fashioned parent’s perspective that then makes them limit the children’s space to work optimally according to their abilities and desires. So that in the end, the advantages and creativity that it possessed would disappear and be buried because it was restricted and some even more extreme prohibited it.

Playing music

It’s no secret that music is something that can spur the development of one’s cognitive or intelligence. Even since in the womb, many parents have started playing soft music to the baby in the womb. If just listening to a child’s intelligence can develop, what if he can play musical instruments. Several studies later showed that by playing a musical instrument the right and left brains tend to be balanced, a person’s musical intelligence also plays a role in influencing the child’s creativity and intelligence. therefore, it is a good idea for you to start introducing your child to some musical instruments and start letting them like it, until finally they can choose which instrument they like and are suitable for playing.

Ask frequently

It is common knowledge that most young children will enter a phase where they are really chatty and often ask questions about various things, from the smallest to the big problems or things that we never imagined he would ask like that. However, most parents often feel embarrassed and bored hearing their child’s questions that are often and continuously repeated, so that they themselves end up limiting their children’s questions and tend to ignore them. Even though by asking a lot of questions, this indicates that the child has great intelligence and curiosity, who knows in the end the things he asks will then develop into creativity that you never imagined at all.

Role Playing or Composing Drama

If your child likes fairy tales and stories, then there is nothing wrong with directing him to try to play drama by first inviting him to compile a story together. You can bring up a story that he likes, then invite him to explore his ideas and imagination about the character he plays and the storyline he will run. From there you can see how much creativity he has as well as stimulating his creativity in playing roles and composing dramas. Even in playing your role, you can give him the freedom to improvise according to what he imagines. Your role as a parent is only to supervise and direct your child to stay on track.

Unloading Games

Want to help children be creative? You can invite him to play through his favorite toys, such as lego, assembling simple toys or even simpler games such as folding paper, forming night candles, or by playing knock-down wooden blocks. Through these games, children’s intelligence and imagination will develop, they will try to translate their imaginary forms into real visual forms. The forms of toys provided do not always have to be expensive, you can even use simple ones as a medium to train your child’s creativity.

Connect Story

Maybe for those of you who like to read stories or listen to fairy tales, they often imagine how the characters in the story are depicted, the setting of the story into visual forms in your mind, and that is what your child also experiences. If adults alone are able to create their imagination, then what happens with small children who have such a wide imagination and are often not limited by things that might be considered strange and impossible for adults.

Therefore there is nothing wrong with you taking advantage of the power of the story to build and train your imagination. One of the interesting ways is by playing the story line. Let the children continue the stories that are made according to their respective imaginations, so you can also find that their imaginations are sometimes far from expectations and not at all guessed.

Mimicking Form and Motion

The concept of imitating form and motion turns out to be one way you can help your children develop their creativity. This concept of imitating form and movement may actually be very common, especially in pre-school institutions such as early childhood education or kindergarten. Children who study there will usually be invited to try to imagine animals or related things according to the teacher’s instructions. After they can form a visual in their imagination then they are invited to show how the typical forms and movements are usually carried out by what they imagined beforehand. This concept is also often applied in learning to dance, which tries to invite children to dance using a variety of styles and characterizations from famous figures, daily work, to the unique movements of the animals around us.
