In the human body there are many different types of hormones with different functions. Hormones are chemical substances that are produced naturally so that when they are circulated by the blood it will go to the cell tissues and can have an effect according to their respective functions.

In this phase only 2% of all testing is too early, that is, at gestational age below 6 weeks. Meanwhile, false positives occurred in 5% of all pregnancy tests.
In a further study, it was found that the HCG examination only has an accuracy of 95-98% so that sometimes hormonal pregnancy testing is rarely done due to concerns about unsatisfactory results. Even hormonal testing must be supported by other pregnancy tests to confirm whether someone is pregnant or not.
When examining in a more advanced method, it is possible to use the radioreceptorassy test and also the radioimmunoassay which is more sensitive in detecting HCG when compared to other pregnancy tests. Although basically these two methods require more modern equipment and trained experts.
By using a radioreceptory test, it will cross-react with the luteinizing hormone so that it will be more sensitive. Examinations involving the radioimmunoassay method can specifically examine more specific chains such as beta subunit glycoproteins associated with pregnancy.
So that using this method HCG can be detected one week after conception. Even this test will provide information regarding gestational age and also sensitive to use in pregnancy testing instruments. Although this method is considered very accurate and perfects the previous method, it cannot be said to be 100% perfect.
