Cysts are also owned by men but do not have the potential to become a disease. In contrast to women, cysts on the ovaries can interfere with the growth of other cells. Cysts or tumors come from tumere (katin language) which means there is swelling. As in the female reproductive organs, the onset of swelling can be cystic in the form of a bubble filled with fluid (pus, air or other fluids).
Cysts can be divided into two types:
- Cysts that are benign or non-neoplastic with tumor characteristics are benign, do not require surgery because they will heal on their own.
- Cysts that are neoplastic are cysts that have become cystic and solid again, enlarge rapidly, the handling sometimes requires surgery, although not all are dangerous.
As for other types of cysts:
- Serosum Cyst
This type of cyst is clear. It resembles a fruit that has a yellow stalk and color. The liquid is slightly thick mucus. Nesting in the eggplant (Ovary). Usually this type of cyst will experience enlargement which is influenced by the menstrual cycle. When pregnancy occurs, the serosum cyst will be pressed due to fetal growth. So that the cyst stalk is twisted and causes the patient to experience pain, it needs removal in the early trimester of pregnancy. These cysts trigger cancer.
- Musinosum cyst
It has a viscous and sticky fluid that is sticky. During pregnancy, if a mucinosium cyst is detected, it must be removed and if the removal fails and causes rupture, the organs in the cavity are sticky and even the intestines stick together making the cyst difficult to remove.
- Dermoid Cyst
Contains a liquid that resembles butter. The fluid contains other particles such as hair, bones, teeth or skin debris. Dermoid is generated from the remaining embryonic cells bouncing into the genital organs while still in the womb. Handling this type of cyst must be careful because otherwise it will cause the particles to enter the stomach and cause pain.
- Endometriosis Cyst
This type of cyst originates from the peritoneum or stomach lining cells caused by a chronic infection of the uterus and is left without medical treatment. Germs will enter the lining of the stomach through the ovaries, causing weakening of the lining of the stomach. The cells of the lining of the stomach will cause damage caused by the presence of blood during menstruation, not all of which come out through the vaginal opening but splash into the abdominal cavity. This type of cyst is categorized as a benign tumor because it infiltrates slowly. Endometriosis growths spread to almost organs such as the intestines, lungs, liver, uterine muscles, eyes and brain. As for what often happens is on the uterine wall. Endometriosis sufferers will experience pain during menstruation, the ovaries swell when menstruating. There are also functional cysts that are usually without symptoms and will only be felt if there are complications in the egg. Even though it happens regularly it will shrink within 1 to 3 weeks.
