Enough Needs Minerals and Vitamins Needed

To improve your child’s immune system so that your child doesn’t get sick easily, you can provide the following intake of vitamins and minerals:

So far, we know that vitamin A is good for eye health. But besides that, vitamin A also has good benefits for the body’s immune system. Based on research, if a child is deficient in vitamin A, he will be prone to experiencing diarrhea, skin disorders and so on. You can get vitamin A content from several types of foods such as saping meat, beef liver, carrots, and various other vegetables that are yellow and orange.

Vitamin B has an important function for the body’s immune system. B vitamins that have a role for immunity include vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folic acid. Based on research states that children who are deficient in folic acid have a higher risk of developing infectious diseases.

Vitamin B12 serves to make white blood cells work better at fighting foreign substances. You can find B vitamins from several food sources of animal protein, including beef, fish, and chicken. In addition, you can find B vitamins in nuts, such as soybeans.

Vitamin C is often referred to as an antioxidant. In the body, antioxidants have an important role to play in increasing the body’s immune system. Based on the theory, vitamin C can help prevent free radicals that can damage the body’s cells.

In addition, vitamin C also has a function to stimulate the production of white blood cells which are useful for the body’s immune system. You can find Vitamin C from fruits such as oranges, mangoes, strawberries and kiwi.

Same with vitamin C, vitamin E functions as an antioxidant that will protect your baby’s body cells from foreign substances that can damage. Based on research states that vitamin E will be able to increase the work of B cells and T cells, where these cells are used by the body in the immune system. Vitamin E can be obtained from several green leafy vegetables, and nuts.

In the immune system, iron has a function to activate B cells and T cells which function to attack foreign substances. In addition, iron is effective at reducing the risk and level of inflammation in the body, so that your little one will avoid infectious diseases.

Some foods that contain iron include beef, beef liver, chicken and several types of vegetables such as spinach and other dark green vegetables.

Zinc has an important function for growing children. In one study, zinc has been shown to boost the immune system and reduce the risk of inflammation in the body. Foods that contain zinc include chicken, beef, shellfish, milk and several types of nuts.

Enough and Quality Sleep

To develop imagination and creativity, your little one needs to do activities. However, your little one also needs enough rest time. You have to make sure that your little one has enough and quality sleep time, which means that the child is able to sleep soundly without waking up frequently. If the child is sleep deprived, it will decrease the production of cytokine proteins that maintain immunity.

Keep Children Clean

As a parent, you must pay attention to the cleanliness of your little one’s body, food, drink, clothing and environment. Because germs are everywhere which can attack your little one at any time. In keeping children clean, you can do the following things:

  • You have to get your children into the habit of bathing 2 times a day, and washing their hands before and after eating with soap.
  • You also have to get your child into the habit of changing clean clothes at least 2 times a day.
  • In addition, you can include your little one when you are washing clothes or dishes so that he is accustomed to cleanliness.

Vaccination

Make sure that your little one gets basic immunizations to avoid dangerous diseases such as mumps, measles, pertussis, chicken pox, hepatitis and so on. (See also: Schedule of Immunization in Infants )

Invite Children to Exercise

You can encourage your little one to play outside and exercise. Doing physical activity will make blood circulation smooth. In addition, the performance of the heart and lungs will be better. So that the effect is the child’s immune system will be strong.

Protect Children From Exposure to Cigarette Smoke

Exposure to secondhand smoke will make it easier for children to get sick. You can keep your child away from an enclosed area where people smoke a lot. If there are members in your house who smoke, you should clean the room more often and wash the curtains so that your little one is not exposed to lingering cigarette smoke or sticking.

Reduce Use of Antibiotics

Children who have a cold and cough do not necessarily need antibiotics, because the disease can be due to a virus. If you always force your little one to take antibiotics, their body will eventually become resistant to bacteria so that as a result the child will get sick more easily because the body’s resistance is getting weaker. Therefore, so that children do not get sick easily, you should reduce the use of antibiotics.

Don’t Miss a Healthy Breakfast

If the stomach is empty before doing activities or before leaving for school, it will reduce concentration on learning. In addition, children will catch colds more easily. Therefore, it is important for your little one to get a healthy and nutritious breakfast, because breakfast is good for his health.

Do not get children to hold faces

You must avoid the child touching his face. This is because the virus enters the child’s body usually through the eyes, mouth and nose. To prevent the entry of viruses from children’s hands that have been contaminated by external objects, you have to make it a habit
for children not to touch their faces. This can help your little one not get sick easily.

Thus, as parents it is important to always take care of your little one’s health. You can pay attention to some of the things above so that your little one doesn’t get sick easily. Hope it is useful.
