There are several conditions that make mothers depressed so that the smoothness of breastfeeding is hampered, mothers need to need several techniques in doing relaxation to maintain the quality and quantity of breastfeeding. Relaxation techniques in launching breastfeeding start early, at least when you are in your third trimester of pregnancy. You can continue until the breastfeeding process takes place, do this method at home with the following steps:
1. Using olive oil or baby oil
You can rub olive oil or baby oil on both palms and also to your breasts. For those of you who want to use traditional oil, you can choose coconut oil which has the same properties as olive oil.
2. Circular Movement of the Breast
After applying olive oil or baby oil to the palms of your hands and the part of your breasts, lift and support the right side of the breast, then massage using the three fingers of the left hand in a circular motion starting from the base of the breast to the areola, doing it on the left breast with the same movement.
3. Relaxation and Helps Smooth Breastfeeding
First put the fingers of your left hand then stretch them on the base of your right breast then massage in a circular motion while pressing your breasts from the base to the areola. After that, proceed from starting from the side, namely the chest wall towards the areola to help in smoothing breastfeeding.
4. Butterfly Movement
You can start by placing your palms on your chest then in the second part of the breast, do it like a butterfly motion starting from the middle of the breast to the top of the breast lifting and releasing slowly together, you can do this movement for one minute repeatedly.
5. Breast Milk Movement
Do this by placing the thumb of the right and left hand on the areola at the top of the right nipple then placing the other finger under your nipple, pressing it simultaneously towards the chest, continue by moving the thumb to the areoa area in a circular manner, do it gently and slowly repeatedly for one minute.
6. Butterflies Spread
Place your left hand to support your breasts, then do a massage using your right hand, including the five fingers with a butterfly motion that spreads to all parts of the breast. Start from the areola towards the base of the breast with a one minute movement, working on your left breast.
7. Massaging thoroughly
You can place your right hand on top of your right side of the breast, precisely above the areola, while the left hand is under the areola. While the four fingers of the right and left will meet at the bottom of the breast, push the palms of the hands down simultaneously in a circular motion, do the same movement on the part of your left breast.
