And one of the best natural sources of omega 3 is salmon. In addition, another benefit of giving fish to children as their diet is that fish can reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Fish contains high enough protein, rich in vitamins and minerals, low in fat and reduces LDL cholesterol levels, where saturated fat has an active role in increasing levels of bad cholesterol in the blood. While the benefits of fish oil for fetuses and babies who are still breastfeeding are useful for the development of the brain of the baby or fetus in the womb, and it is also good for maintaining brain stamina to stay healthy.

2. Nuts

Nuts are good food for the brain, because they are able to maintain the energy and thinking abilities of children. For this reason, it’s no wonder that nuts are often called special foods because they contain protein and energy and complex carbohydrates. Consumption of nuts is highly recommended for children, especially when consumed in the afternoon, because at this time the body’s ability to reach its peak in absorbing nutritious substances. In addition, nuts are also rich in minerals and vitamins.

3. Spinach

For a long time, spinach is believed to be a food source that is rich in vitamins that are good for the body, especially for children. The high folate content in spinach plays a good role in slowing down cognitive function decline and sharpening children’s brains. A study revealed that consuming more vegetables is very effective for those of you who want to have better brain abilities. In addition, other benefits of spinach for health include fighting cancer cells, preventing osteoporosis, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, preventing anemia, diabetes and many more.

4. Berries

The high anti-oxidant content in berries can reduce stress on the brain. Berries, especially blueberries, can help treat Alzheimer’s disease by reducing oxidative stress. A study conducted found that berries mixed in food ingredients can increase brain memory to be younger and sharpen memory.

5. Walnuts

Among several plant foods, walnuts are the type of food that contains the highest omega 3 acids. Walnuts also contain anti-oxidants which help relieve stress on the brain. Thus, there is nothing wrong with starting to include foods made from walnuts at your dining table for consumption by your little one.
