Until finally the long process ended on February 15, 2012, when Ignancy’s baby was born safely into the world at 32 weeks of gestation. Actually, Joanna was pregnant with 5 twins, but unfortunately 3 of them were born premature babies and were lifeless. As quoted from Foxnews, to Reuters Joanna conveyed her feelings of happiness and thanks to God and the people who contributed to her birth, she also expressed her happiness to be able to give life to her 2 remaining babies. The head of the obstetrics department at the hospital where Joanna gave birth to her son, Marius Zimmer, said that initially the doctors wanted to relax Joanna’s contractions so they wouldn’t be too painful. But finally the doctor saw the enthusiasm of this woman and let Joanna continue with the birth process.
Normally, the birth process only takes 8 to 12 hours, while a normal gestational age usually only takes up to 40 weeks. However, with special and adequate medical assistance, the twins named Iga and Ignancy were finally born safely into the world at the age of their mother’s pregnancy which was only 32 weeks. And currently the twins are still in a special incubator to get more intensive care, but it is estimated that in the near future they will be able to be brought home. Joanna herself is still undergoing a period of recovery after weeks of lying in a special bed with unusual conditions, but luckily Joanna has been allowed to visit her twins.
