It is important to know the signs of normal pregnancy in the first trimester. Well, the signs and changes that you will experience are as follows:

Cramps

The cramping conditions you experience as a sign of pregnancy will not be much different from the cramps you feel just before your period. In normal pregnancy, mild cramps are common. It’s just that, not always cramps can be a sign of a normal first trimester pregnancy.

The reason is, the condition of more painful cramps accompanied by contractions that occur within a span of 5 to 20 minutes is a sign of an abnormality occurring in your pregnancy. This condition should not be ignored.

You must immediately contact your gynecologist when experiencing symptoms like this. Therefore, it is very important to recognize signs of normal and abnormal pregnancy so that you can immediately take action when experiencing unusual symptoms or signs.

Nausea

Nausea is one of the signs of normal pregnancy that occurs at a young gestational age. This condition usually starts at week 3 to week 12 of pregnancy. Generally, pregnant women will experience nausea during pregnancy.

This condition can be experienced at any time, morning, afternoon or evening. The nausea you experience is usually not too severe, so you can still eat and drink as usual.

As a step to overcome or reduce the nausea you feel when pregnant, you can change your diet. Try to eat smaller portions but more often.

Also, it is important to avoid foods with strong odors. For snacks, you can choose snacks that are high in protein, more bland. Avoid acidic foods and drinks because they can trigger nausea. You must drink water regularly.

If the nausea that you experience does not end even though you are 12 weeks pregnant or even causing dehydration and you cannot eat food, then this condition is classified as abnormal. If you experience this condition, you should contact your doctor immediately, because you may need treatment.

Leucorrhoea

The discharge that you experience during pregnancy is considered a normal condition. Whitish will keep the reproductive system from bacteria so it will stay clean. Whitish during pregnancy will protect the birth canal from infection problems. It’s just that, you have to pay attention to the vaginal discharge you experience.

The reason is, vaginal discharge during pregnancy is not always safe. If you experience vaginal discharge with a lot of clear color, green or yellow color, feel pain and itching with an unpleasant odor, it could be a symptom of an infection that can cause complications during pregnancy. Immediately contact your doctor if you experience vaginal discharge like this.

Bleeding

Early in the pregnancy, pregnant women will experience bleeding. It’s just that, the bleeding experienced is of course light and in small amounts. This condition is a sign of the embryo sticking to the lining of the uterus. This condition can be accompanied by cramps and more than once. Even though it is considered a normal condition, you still have to be vigilant.

If you experience bleeding that is unusual or outside the characteristics of a normal pregnancy, such as pink, bright, vaginal discharge or discharge in the form of blood clots, it is important to immediately contact your obstetrician.

Another sign to watch out for is if the aforementioned symptoms are accompanied by severe cramps or contractions. It is a danger sign of pregnancy if there is bleeding in the birth canal after experiencing trauma such as physical fatigue or a fall.

Other Signs of Normal Pregnancy

In addition to the normal first trimester signs of pregnancy that have been mentioned above, you may also experience other signs of normal pregnancy. Generally pregnant women will experience changes in their moods, increased frequency of bowel movements, constipation, enlargement of the breasts and cravings.

When pregnant you may experience fatigue. This condition is common. The reason is, when you are pregnant your body will work hard to support the health of the fetus in the womb and of course it requires a lot of energy. You certainly need more food and drink than usual.

When pregnant you will not be as free as before you were pregnant. If before pregnancy you always did a lot of physical activity, then after pregnancy it is important to limit physical activity.

You should increase your rest time and keep your food intake so that you and your pregnancy stay healthy. Avoid some bad habits like consuming caffeine, alcohol and smoking.

Things to Watch Out for

It is very important to know the signs of normal and abnormal pregnancy. You can also involve your family in the development of your pregnancy, especially your husband.

Although some physical and psychological changes during the early trimester of pregnancy are considered normal, there are some danger signs that are important to watch out for, such as:

  • Severe abdominal pain or cramps
  • Have heavy bleeding in the birth canal
  • Severe headache and pain
  • Gaining too little weight
  • Gaining exc
    essive weight
  • Fever

Go to the doctor immediately if you experience any of these symptoms. During pregnancy, it is also important to have regular pregnancy checks to the doctor to monitor the health of the pregnancy and know the normal and abnormal development of pregnancy.
