Midwife Pevi Revina STr.Keb February 15, 2021

A number of studies have shown that children whose parents often talked to them when they were babies actually have much higher IQ levels. in addition, their vocabulary is also much richer with children who rarely received verbal stimulation when they were babies.
You can start invite your baby to talk since you started getting pregnant. This way, your baby will get used to your voice. Read a book or sing it out loud. When your baby is born, talk to him when you change the bed, when you feed or bathe him and give him the opportunity to respond with a smile or eye contact. At around five months of age, you will notice your baby is often watching your mouth intently. Your baby will learn to speak well only if you really train for this purpose. You don’t need to be afraid to use slightly complicated words when you talk to him.

The best way for a baby to enrich his vocabulary is to listen to you using new vocabulary words. Reading aloud is a great way to help improve your child’s language skills. Take each day to speak simply to your baby as clearly and as often as possible. It is very possible that he does not understand what you are saying, but he will be very happy to see and hear your voice. Use your baby as a reference for what you do and tell him. If what you do and say can make him happy, then you will be sure that you did and said the right thing to him. Say in words what your baby is signaling and express it through the look on his face.

Babies will love to hear your voice. Meanwhile, children who are starting to walk will love listening to the fairy tales you tell them. And this in turn will be very useful for training and developing your child’s language skills. Read picture books to your baby from the time they are six months old.

Your little one makes a sound? Don’t hesitate to respond. You can pretend to be asking what the other person is while laughing or smiling. Show your happy face, then see the reaction. But when he cries Do not be silent when you see your little one crying. Go to her eyes, then immediately ask, for example, “Why are you crying, son?” This method will make your little one understand that when he cries, the mother will ask him. So, he too must respond with answers. The final step, keep doing things that involve both of you at every opportunity. When he starts doing your voice, repeat the words too
