Not infrequently because of a lack of tools or due to negligence and unpreparedness of medical personnel, the process mother giving birth becomes obstructed and does not work properly. Things like that will have fatal consequences for the safety and health of both the mother and the baby, especially fatal mistakes that can result in loss of life.
Apart from medical factors, the enthusiasm and struggle of the mother also determines how the childbirth process can go well. Maybe that spirit is also the strength for Ines Ramirez, a woman from Mexico. Mother’s expression of infinite love throughout the ages is very fitting if compared with what she has done. The bitter experience because the baby he had before died, made him no longer want to experience the same thing.
Maybe you have never imagined what it would be like to give birth alone with a condition where the delivery procedure is done by caesarean section, but that is what Ines did in giving birth to her baby. Ines was determined to perform a caesarean section on her own to give birth to the baby she was carrying. He used a knife to cut open his own stomach, and with the help of alcohol as an anesthetic.
Ines lives in a town called Rio Talea. The city has a population of only 500 people and access to communication in the form of a telephone is only owned by one person and is quite far from his house. Likewise, the midwife who usually helps with childbirth is quite far from her house and the field of travel that must be taken is very unlikely for the condition of a pregnant woman like herself.
At the time of giving birth, her husband himself was in a bar. Due to the impossible conditions and no one to ask for help, he decided to do the caesarean section himself at home using a kitchen knife and the help of alcohol as an anesthetic.
Ines started the surgical operation by first drinking 3 glasses of alcohol as anesthetic, then began to open her stomach vertically from the bottom of the ribs to the top of the pubic. After about an hour of experimenting, he was finally able to remove the baby in his womb, he then twisted the umbilical cord using scissors, then bandaged the wound using his own clothes. It was only when he finished that he sent his eldest son to tell his father.
Shortly after that, help finally arrived, the wound itself was then sewn up with the makeshift needle and thread that was available. Then Ines was taken to the hospital, which is about 8 hours away to get more adequate medical treatment. He is said to be a very fortunate person, having survived his own surgical procedure. With a variety of major risks such as infection, loss of a lot of blood, and other things that could have claimed his life at that time he was able to survive and was believed to be the only person who successfully performed the surgery himself.
Currently, Ines has 7 children, of which one child died due to delays in treatment at the time of delivery. So that he did not want the incident to repeat itself, and had to lose his child again.
